General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

§ 1 Scope

These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to the course agreement between the midwife and the participant, unless otherwise agreed. They specifically refer to childbirth preparation courses. The treatment contract between the midwife and the participant remains unaffected.

§ 2 Registration

Registration for the courses takes place in writing or electronically via the online registration form and is binding.
Participants are required to provide truthful information regarding their health, due date or the child’s date of birth, and their health insurance. Statutorily insured participants should bring their electronic health card (if available) to the first course session.

§ 3 Course Implementation

Courses are held at the Gesundheitszentrum Ulrike Deutscher, Ingolstädter Str. 92, 85276 Pfaffenhofen a. d. Ilm, and are limited in participant numbers.
The midwife reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a course if the minimum number of participants is not met. Courses are structured progressively and are intended to be attended in full.
In justified cases (e.g. illness), individual sessions may be postponed or conducted online. In this case, in-person attendance will be canceled without substitution. Participants are obligated to attend replacement dates. There is no entitlement to in-person participation if an online format is offered.

§ 4 Withdrawal / Cancellation

The registration is binding. A free cancellation is possible up to 21 days before the start of the course and must be made in writing via email.
If the cancellation occurs later or if the participant does not attend individual sessions or the entire course, those sessions cannot be billed to the health insurance. In this case, the midwife retains the right to charge according to the current fee schedule (§ 134a SGB V), currently €7.96 per 60 minutes, which must be paid privately by the participant.
The partner fee of €150 must also be paid in full, regardless of the reason for non-attendance. This amount must be transferred before the course begins. A reimbursement request can be submitted to the health insurance; many cover it partially or fully, though this cannot be guaranteed.
A later cancellation of the partner's participation is not possible.
The right to terminate the agreement without notice for good cause remains unaffected. A good cause is only recognized if caused by the other contractual party.

§ 5 Fees / Reimbursement

Statutory health insurance covers childbirth preparation courses up to 14 hours and postnatal exercise up to 10 hours.
Privately insured participants will receive an invoice to submit to their insurance. It is the participant’s responsibility to clarify reimbursement eligibility with their insurer prior to the course. The obligation to pay applies regardless of whether the private insurer covers the costs.
If the course is attended without a partner, the partner fee does not apply. However, since the course is designed as a couples course, we recommend booking a course specifically for individuals without partners. Please contact us directly for more information.

§ 6 Liability

Participation in the course is at the participant’s own risk.
Each participant and their partner are fully responsible for themselves and their child(ren). The midwife is only liable for injuries to life, body, or health in cases of intent or gross negligence.
No liability is accepted for personal belongings.
